Sunday, June 18th is Father’s Day and if you’re stumped on what to get that fellow in your life or if you’ve asked and receive the general “Don’t worry about getting me a gift” response, we’ve put together a list of very practical gifts they’re sure to use.
Sure, it may seem obvious that anyone could use a sweater but that’s exactly the point. Can you remember the last time your dad purchased a new sweater? We do however advise you to keep it simple such as a solid color pullover or if he’s of the Mr. Rogers variety, a cardigan can work too.
Have you met a man that doesn’t love to fire up a grill? We could be wrong but if your dad is the type to enjoy a nice chargrilled steak or throw some patties on the ol’pit why not surprise him with an upgrade? There are various multipurpose grills on the market that would put a smile on any grill masters face. If a grill isn’t quite within your budget consider rent-to-own by locating a store near you and finance. There’s also a chance dad already has a grill he adores in which case consider a brand-new set of grilling tools or accessories. Who doesn’t need a “Kiss the Cook” apron?
A new set of tools or maybe an addition to your dad’s collection could benefit more than just him. If you have “Mr. Fix It” on your hands, a tool of any type goes a long way. Might he already have all the tools he may need? Consider other hobbies you may be able to contribute to. Fishing? How about a new rod, tackle box or accessories? Bowling? Try a custom shirt, new bowling bag, etc.
Admittedly, a gift card is more of a “no frills” type of gift but truly one of the most practical gifts out there. You decide how much you’d like to give and they decide just how they would like to use it. Definitely a win-win situation.
At the end of the day Father’s Day is all about appreciation and any token of that will surely make the special man in your life happy.
