The dynamics of TVs in your home are so much different today than years ago. First, TVs aren’t made to last anymore. People upgrade their TVs on an average of every five years or less. And the profit margins for TVs are so thin and competitive, getting that new TV sooner than later is no longer such a bank buster.
But there is still those times when you can get the best deals which is September and January. (Hmmmm. I wonder what next month is?) That’s when the new models are released thus stores need to get rid of the old models and are offering up the specials. Black Friday is also a good day. It’s just suffering the crowds that makes the price not as attractive for some.
Another trick for a good deal is buying the store display TV or one that has been returned. If you’re going that route, check out your local rent to own stores. Because many customers rent the TVs only for a short time, rent to own stores become ready to own with a great deal on TV that’s hardly been used. If you’re one of those gadget freaks and always want the latest and greatest, rent a TV and upgrade it each year.
And if you’re really a TV freak (i.e. a sports fan), then rent to own a TV because you will be able to comfortably afford a giant TV on a rental plan.
Just another ShopRTO HD TV tip.
